My Volunteer trip to Korea!

I've mentioned this is my blog post I posted about me being back.

I won't give all the details until my spot on this trip is guaranteed.. 

But basically, I've come across a volunteer organization that does volunteer trips to South Korea to work with children. As you guys know, my dream is to go to South Korea. So when I found this website, I instantly tried to jump on it... Problem is, they require an upfront fee of $500. Which really kinda sucks for me because even if I could get the $500 to do the project, it's not guaranteed I would be able to raise enough to live in Korea for 2 months plus the plane tickets...

So right now, I'm currently trying to raise $5000 before the end of August because I would leave in September, but I really kinda need to raise enough money before then so that I can pay for the project before all the spots are taken. 

SO. I've researched many things that I can do... 

1 being the Apparent Project.. Which I am currently doing. Basically, what they do is, Haitian families make these bracelets, I sell them for a certain price and they get a certain number of the profit and I get a certain number of the profit.

Also other things I'm doing.. I have set up a GoFundMe account. I've never had any luck with GoFundMe, but I'm hoping to be able to raise at least some money towards me going.

New Obsession: Akdong Musician

AKMU is not your normal K-pop group. They aren't flashy, they aren't "gorgeous". They're just amazing. 

I think she's beautiful and he's cute in a dorky way.

Anyways... I'm going to admit that I wasn't always big on AKMU.  See, I have this sort of rebellion towards all thing EXTREMELY famous sometimes. Let me give you a few examples... 

I use to not like Hyuna too much.. Not because she was "slutty" or "really out there" but because she was just all people talked about. 

The biggest example would have to be Psy - Gangnam Style though. 

I LOVED Gangnam style.... Before everyone in the world also loved it. Then I started to very much dislike it. And refused to even listed to Gentleman or Hangover when they came out. Even though I later found out I do like the songs.. I do this sometimes... I don't know why. I don't know what starts it.. It just happens...

So AKMU came out and everyone was talking about the siblings on Kpop Star 2 and they were just so famous so I was like "Ya know... I don't wanna look them up" And that's probably a good thing because I was really into the whole electronic Kpop side of Kpop back then. So I may not have actually fully enjoyed AKMU.

But now that I actually listen to them, they're so amazing it makes me want to cry. Lol! Their voices are just absolutely crazy good. And when they harmonize... Forget about it. It's very refreshing to hear their songs, but one song is particular I just absolutely love. It's so beautiful and there's just no words to explain them. 

That song would be Time and Fallen Leaves.

If you haven't heard it and/or read the lyrics, it's just crazy beautiful. 

Another one is Melted

They're just exceptionally talented and their songs are all so pretty and nice. I feel like if I didn't even listen to Korean songs, these are songs I would still listen to. So if you have never heard them, please check them out and share them. Because they're just so great. 

I keep saying the same thing over and over again, don't I? 

This means I really feel it, guys. Seriously. This group is just so different. 

Monday Special: Couple Song Ji Hyo and Kang Gary

Since it's a Monday I decided to do something Monday related... What better than the Monday Couple??

We all have those certain Korean couples that we want to be fake. Mine would be Kim Jong Kook and Yoon Eun Hye. 
Most people's are:
Taeyeon and Baekhyun
Nichkhun and Tiffany
Yoona and Lee Seung Gi
Rain and Kim Tae Hee
G Dragon and Kiko Mizuhara
etc. etc..

I think the Monday Couple is the only couple I've ever seen that everyone WANTS them to be together. Everyone wants it to be true. I speak from my own experience too. I would LOVE for the Monday Couple to be real. It would be amazing!! They're absolutely gorgeous together!

They just look so happy when they're around each other.
Not to mention all the skinship.

But unfortunately, we'll never know if they're a real couple or if it's all just for good tv until Running Man ends.. (Which I DONT WANT IT TO, DONT GET ME WRONG!!!)

HAS Shanea is BACK!

Hello, my lovelies. It's been quite a while since I've been around, huh? I know... I know... 

So let me update you on a few things about me.

During the fall season, I was in and out of the hospital with my asthma. 

I was having a really hard time. I couldn't breathe right... I basically got out of the hospital because there was nothing they could do for me.. They had pumped a bunch of medicines into me and while there was small progress, that was as good as I was gonna get. Fall and Winter are always my worst seasons..
While I've managed to stay out of the hospital for Winter, I'm not better.. My lungs are still very bad. My breathing still not as good as it should be. And now I have caught a cold on top of that, so blogging might be a tad slow in the coming weeks because of the extreme Nyquil regiment I'm on. Haha. Don't worry, though. I am completely okay. Not life threatening as long as I have my inhalers. Just a little struggle through the colder months. 

Another thing, my computer stopped working well shortly after Christmas. It started running very slow and was basically impossible to do anything on. So now we have a new computer and are ready to go!!

Lastly, I am going to Korea in September of 2015 and will stay there until December 2015. Finally. I'm doing many fundraisers and trying to find a job before I go there to fund it all. I will eventually set up a GoFundMe in case you ever want to donate anything. I would even take a penny. LOL anything helps.. I will be blogging and vlogging the whole time I'm there! So pray for my health to be stable from now until September so I am physically able to travel abroad. 

As always, I love you guys so much. Even though this page has been inactive for a bit (with the exception of our awesome Glow writing things here and there) we have still gotten almost 1 like a week on the facebook page. That's extremely crazy and I just feel so happy that people still like what we have to say. 

Now I know I haven't blogged in awhile. I've missed writing on alot of things in the Korean world. That's okay. I will blog on whatever I feel like blogging on in that moment. I could blog on things from 15 years ago.. The possibilities are ENDLESS with me!  

Absolutely lastly, shoutout to my buddy dViNC3b on Youtube for having marvelous thighs and filling my facebook news feed with great dances. Teach me your skills. Your thighs... I can't even.

Me, myself and I. 

Yes, I know it's been way toooo long! I'm sorry ~v.v~ 

Nothing special is really going on, just busy with work and trying to get a life! But seriously, work takes all my energy, mostly emotionally more than anything else, it's sad huh! I also haven't been keeping up with Kpop songs, Kdramas, or my lovely Idols!! Double Sad!!! I'm so behind and right now I'm trying to catch up on what I've missed, specially with the songs. No, don't worry, I'm not gonna trouble you with my drama. 

I'm such a musical person, (and by that, I just mean I like to listen to it!!!! xD). 

I've recently come across this awesome group called ..... HIGH4. It's made up of four (duh) beyond, and I mean beyond gorgeous guys. MyungHan, Alex, YoungJun, and SungGu! I already called dibs on all of them ... not really haha, my friend beat with MyungHan and SungGu .... Still I'm in love With Alex and YoungJu. (Idk, but I think I have a thing for Kpop Rappers)!!! 

A little about HIGH4 :

• They debuted April 8 2014 (I know... I'm a little late ...) 
• They have a contract with N.A.P Entertainment 
• Which is an independent label distributed by LOEN Ent. 
• SungGu is the leader and a vocalist ... his voice... smooth! GAH!!!!

• Alex is a great dancer and a rapper and his fluent in English. Yes sir he is! 

• MyungHan is the lead vocalist alongside SungGu. He's simply adorable! I'm not kidding. I mean... LOOK AT HIM (down below) he's gorgeous and cute and GAH ... Nosebleed anyone? 

• YoungJun is also a rapper and the Maknae at the age of 21. 

Ladies, ladies, calm down ... but you're right, they're all over the age of 18!!!!! 

DAMN, there goes that nosebleed again! And to help you maintain that nosebleed, do grovel at the following pictures ...
