KDQ'S 14 Days of Kisses - Day 6

WAH!! It is almost the halfway point!! How are you drama freaks holding up? I am a mess. All the feels from these dramas have me going crazy!

Day 6

Reply 1994

This was a hard contender for first place in the Reply series but since I saw 1997 first, it just became my favorite. I do have to say though, this was my favorite scene from the drama. I just love Trash. He is so amazingly adorable! Also, can we just take a moment to appreciate the song playing. One of my favorites from a drama!

I will leave you with a hint about tomorrow. IT IS NOT REPLY 1988. Strongly disliked that drama.

Until next time....

30 Days of HAS Shanea: Day 3/30

Hey there! Day 3 of 30.

So, I'm going to tell you what my 2 favorite dramas are. This is because I can't decide on just one.

First:

Legend of the Blue Sea

I recently just watched this drama.. (Probably since it's a new drama, duh, what am I saying?)
Anyways.. I binge watched it in a 28 hour time frame. The whole drama.... All 20 episodes.. So much so I even bought a Vikipass so I wouldn't be interrupted by ads...

I wrote "Afterthoughts" about it:

This drama was really good and the actors were perfect. I like it so much primarily because of the characters they always give Jun Ji Hyun.

She always has really odd and quirky characters. I also like it because South Korea these days is branching out in their drama scene. Using supernatural beings and weird things that aren't necessarily your traditional "K-drama".

And the storyline as a whole was great.

And I'm not at all influenced by Lee Min Ho's flawless face...

or Jin Young and his adorable self.

;)

Second is Reply 1994

This drama was actually featured in my series for last month "14 Days of Second Lead Syndrome":

I love all of the "Reply" series. The storylines are so well thought out and sometimes (in the case of 1988) it makes me nostalgic for a time I was never even alive for!

in this particular drama... the main actress' character was undeniably amazing. She was goofy and funny as crap. And of course her drunk habits were the best. :P

Not to mention other cuties in the drama.

And of course the romance between Trash and Na Jung in the first place.

And then Jung Woo persuasion. Lawd, yall.

So yeah those are my 2 favorite dramas. :)

14 Days of Second Lead Syndrome: Day 1/14

Hi and welcome to HAS Shanea's "14 Days of Second Lead Syndrome"!

This Valentine's season, we're going to dive deep into the heartbreaks of K-dramas. (Not everyone has a Valentine)

Have you ever watched a K-drama that had a love triangle and you really rooted for one guy, but it turned out another? Do you feel yourself getting mad at the lead actress for choosing the wrong guy? How about feeling broken hearted because the one you love is super heart broken? This is what is classified as "Second Lead Syndrome". I have a very severe case of "Second Lead Syndrome".. I tend to always fall for the second lead... And I fall for people who I think will be the second lead and find myself disappointed when they are the lead. I'm telling you, I should just be HAS 변태. Everyone loves an underdog, I guess.

Well anyways for the next 14 days, I will be (at random) picking 14 of the worst cases I've experienced of Second Lead Syndrome.
.

Today's pick to kick off this series is "Reply 1994"

Now, just for a disclaimer, I LOVED Trash. I really wanted them to be together.. However, I also found myself about dying at the fact that Chilbong did not get the girl. It was one of those cases where I liked them both, ya know?

I tend to always ship the best friends together, so naturally I was a huge Trash fan.. But they were really all best friends, weren't they?

But look at this angelic face...

He was so sweet and talented and he loved Na Jung so much... :(

For awhile there I really thought they were going to be together. Especially when she thought he was dead because of the department store collapsing. I almost died then but I really thought that was going to be a complete turning point for their relationship.

And then this....

How sweet, right????

His face sticks in my mind when I think of how the lead actresses choose lead actors to love... Because there's wasn't just brushed off like alot of people's were. They actually addressed their relationship and she chose Trash.. And it was sad.

NO. NO CRY. My heart broke into a million shattered little pieces. It was so sad.

Did you watch "Reply 1994"? How did you feel about the Chilbong and Trash situation? Who did you root for?

Let me know! Happy 14 Day's of Second Lead Syndrome! I'll see ya tomorrow for the next segment!

--Hint. It's one of the most iconic Second Lead Syndrome cases in the world. --
