Turning PSY into PNation

 HEY TO ALL MY HOPPERS OUT THERE!! It's been a very long time since I was last here. Got Married had a baby the full life experience, but ya'll didn't come here to read all about my life. You came here for the Hip Hop. 

I could go back and talk all about what's happening in the Hip hop world today, but honestly I just really want to talk about my favorite things to happen in a while.

That's right PNATION. The one and only PSY's record label! I was so excited when he branched out and started his own label. The only thing that excites me even more is the SIGNEES! I'm going to make this into a series and we will talk about all of them one by one because they are all stars and deserve their own post! First we are going to talk about the man himself Mr. Park Jae-sang. 

When I first started writing for HAS I wasn't going to write about PSY mainly because I thought there was a lot of information already and it was just to easy to find yourself. I don't want this post either to be a facts quote about everything he has done, but I did want to post about what I like most about this artist. 

We all know that PSY is a legend, but I think what I love most about him is he isn't afraid to be him and you see that in the artist he chose to sign. PSY has always been a controversial artist and he's always pushed what people perceived as "normal." So many people, including the Korean government, have told him he can not do certain things, but he does them anyway. And I just have to respect that. He's not afraid to think outside of the box and fight what he thinks is right. He's okay with "pushing the norm," and lest be honest his videos are funny and a little bit on the troll side. 

PSY's "GANGNAM STYLE" pretty much broke the internet when it was released back on July 15, 2012, still today has over 4 BILLION views, and ranks at number 3 of most watched music videos on YouTube of all times. 

That being said I think my favorite song of his is probably New Face or Hangover where he features the goat Snoop Dogg himself.

It's just exciting for me to see him in action. I'm in the middle of watching his LOUD show where JYP and him fight to see who can build the better NEXT rookie boy group. Kind of reminds me of the one JYP did with YG. On his wall in one episode there is a quote that I just love it says "Art cannot be criticized because every mistake is a new creation." He states in this episode that he wants to help them make their creations come to life, not just make his own.  I knew that I liked him as a person before but this show really brings out more of what he hopes to accomplish with his new(ish) label and I just love it. He has even been quoted in saying "I will create a playground for the passionate players who are willing to sweat for their dreams!! ^^". 

With a reputation like PSY's it's only fitting that he have the crew he has. He's opened so may doors for artist like him and I know there is more to come. I'm interested to see who else he signs and honestly I hope he brings some "dead" people back to life. 

Bunny's Hoppin Hip Hop Corner ( Cheetah)

I really don't know a lot about this artist today. We can learn together!!!!

I do know that she is the winner of the first Unpretty Rapstar, and I do know about her song "change my number," I did like it, but it wasn't a OMG HAD TO LISTEN TO OVER AND OVER type song.

Cheetah

I did  know that she was also an underground before going on the show. With that being said you don't usually hear a lot from her. She's not usually on a lot of shows that I know of , to promote her music, BUT I just love her swag. 

Upon doing some research I did find that Cheetah before debuting was in a terrible accident (she got hit by a bus...yessss hoppers a bus) and it landed her in a coma for a good while. That's the reason you never hear her sing the respirator ruined her vocal cords.

Cheetah is a member of C9 Entertainment, which supports artist like Jung Joon Yong ( and Drug Restaurant)  and Wanna One, just to name a few.

I'm always excited about her new stuff because I love seeing people like her succeed. When she came out with this new one after being gone for a while I was so ready. 

"I'll Be There" dropped on the 28th of February

Can I just say I love her new look. Can we just take a minute and just look at how FLAWLESS she is!!!!!!

I was really shocked about this single. It wasn't really what I expected from her. I kinda expected it to be a little be more pop music then what she gave me, but I actually liked it. All in all I thought It was a good comeback and something we really needed. as listeners.

Bunny's Hoppin Hip Hop Corner (Update)

HEY MY FELLOW HOPPERS LONG TIME NO SEE!!! It's been absolutely crazy for me! I'm in a new spot with a new place, with new family! But news is good. I'm sorry I haven't been around, but it's been a BUSY couple of months. But FINALLY I'M BACK!! so lets get started with an update. The last you saw me we talked about "She's Gone" by Jong Ilhoon, and SanE and Mad Clown's "Butterfly, " but there are several other comebacks I want to talk about.


Yoonmirae 

Yoonmirae is one of my FAVORITE Korean artist in this hip hop or music history. If you follow my blogs you might can figure out who my biases are. (Tablo, Top, Tiger Jk, Yoonmirae) each one of them have their own lane, but this woman just fits in mine. I love her so much she's a great singer, rapper, and even mom. I mean it can't be that bad being married to this......

Anyway, Yoonmirae has come up with several new singles in the past couple of months....and her new album "Gemini 2 " is one of my new favorites of the year !!

The album has some MAD features with people like my boy Junoflo ya'll know I love me some Juno. Double K , Tiger Jk, And Champagne are just to name a few more. But with a name and the Bad A$$ ness that she has how can you expect any less. 

Kawi Bawi Bo was her first comeback of the year and honestly it was exactly what I wanted from her. But if it's not for you don't worry because there is one the next one is where she took it to a whole new level. JUNOFLOOOOO




This song right here ya'll ... equals life LOL no but really it's just an all around catchy song. You should listen to it multiple times.... in a row.... for hours lol

Bunny's Hoppin Hip Hop Corner (San E and Mad Clown)

Welcome back to Bunny's Hoppin hip hop corner. Today we have..... 

San E and Madclown

If you have read my read anything of mine you know just how special they are to me. You may remember "Sour Grapes" (one of my favorite songs of all time)  BUT THEY ARE BACK AT IT AGAIN......



This video is just a ball of cuteness. I mean San E is just a ball of cuteness himself but when they start dancing together I lose it. THEY ARE SO FREAKING ADORABLE I just want them to cuddle me ... both of them HAHAHAHAHA. OH OH OH and we have San E's hip thrust!!!!! Get it boy!!! (:32 seconds). It's a fun song just like their last one together. I love these two together they just make me happy! Their music is upbeat and make me want to laugh. I love with Mad Clown starts singing. It's auto tuned but still fun to watch. Then you can't forget Bumkey and that voice! Overall it's just a fun video and it makes me happy.

Bunny's Hoppin Hip Hop Corner (JUNG ILHOON)

Hey Hoppers it's me Bunny. It's been so many new songs this past couple of months and I've been so behind, but I'm going to start catching up today. Hopefully I'll have one out for each day this week! But today will start with one of my FAVORITE people. I don't know if you can call it a come back, but Jung IlHoon released two singles.

Now I'm going to be honest like always. I've never really liked BtoB, but then again I've never really like kpop in general. BUT HAVE NO FEAR I'M GETTING THERE. It's growing on me. 

Jung IlHoon

For those of you like me who didn't know him before these singles, for of those of you who like me lived under a rock, Ilhoon is part of a group called BtoB. He was also in "Roll Deep" by Hyuna. 

Usually when I hear an idol come out with a rap song I'm a little suspect. I knew he was good in Hyuna's video, but the more and more I listen to kpop the more and more I begin to realize that I don't hate kpop at all lol I actually really like it. 

Lets get back to the Singles. 4 weeks ago on YouTube "She's Gone" was dropped. Both Shanea and I had that on repeat for several days. It's got a real blue's feel and I ABSOLUTELY AM OBSESSED. I love the guitar in the beginning.  It gets stuck in my head at random parts of the day. All the sudden I'll be walking somewhere and I hear NOW SHE'S GONE CAUSE YOU SAID SO!!! lol It's just  a fun song.


I LOVED this song and still do. But it was his next single 2 weeks later that really just stole my heart. I cried when I first heard this song. Now the one that I saw had subs, but it's just a sad song in general. Not a lot of rappers now days go that deep. The good ones to me do but this next song has a special place in my heart. "Always" features JinHo from Pentagon if you don't know him don't worry they are coming up in a episode soon.

I lost my mom at a really young age. So this song just really hit me and my feels. Again the type he of music choose to rap too is fun to listen to. It was kind of a coffee shop feel to it. But his lyrics to that song is what really just made me love it even more.

If you haven't listen to either of these songs I'd hope you would. But I hope even more that you begin to do what I've been doing lately and expand your genre of music a little. You might be missing some really good music out there.

Now I LOVE me some BTS, but honestly J-Hope has never been my bias. I've like him I think he's funny just not my personal bias.  Ive kind of laid off writing this one in fear of the army, but when I finally listened to it. These are my thoughts.

1. WHERE THE H E DOUBLE HOCKY STICKS DID YOU COME FROM.
2. Why are there so many talented rappers in BTS.
3. J-Hope showed up to kill the game
4. Why did I not see him before.... oh right Suga
5. If you don't work with yo bad self.
6. I can hope for some more J-hope.

I really liked his singles he came out with. He definitely earned my respect and I hope he earns yours.

 I was kind of taken back by the beginning. I wasn' really expecting the vibe of the song.  But the laid back "good vibe only" type feel of the song I real like. He really has a good groove on this song and I like it.

I will say I give J-Hope props on this whole mix tape he did a good job and earns my respect.

Bunny's Hoppin Hip Hop Corner

YO YO YO... WHAT'S UP EVERYONE!!! Bunny here, coming at you with a brand new hoppin hip hop corner. And today's special guest...

Millic

So Millic is a producer from guess where..... HIGHGRND... I really should back off the ground but I love them so much lol. I have recently just become a fan of his. He does a lot of work with FANXY CHILD and CLUB ESKIMO, which honestly is just Dean &co. But I've really liked a lot of the songs he's come out with recently.

Paradise is the first song I heard of his. It features FANXY CHILD, but it's this really really laid back feel. I love music that makes you feel good.



I was kinda obsessed with this song when it first came out because I mean how can you not love Zico Dean and Crush. I pretty much live for FANXY CHILD lol. I'd listen to anything any of these four are in to be honest. But that being said I really like the beat to this song. Zico of course kills his part. And then you have Dean and Crush and how can you go wrong. All and all it's a great mix and my ears love great mixes.

He also has Igloo out right now. I'm even more obsessed with this one. This one has Club Eskimo which again is just Dean and others. But it's equally as good. I'm going to be honest... it's better...



This song really sounds like something from The Neighborhood (a band). I really thought they had gone Korean. But then I was like they added Dean? lmao then I saw it was Millic and I was like OOOO I'M AN IDIOT lol. It has a jazzy feel to it sometimes and I like that.

Millic is kind of in the Indie genre to me though. He's more of a producer than anything else. That being said I love him as an artist. And his album Vida was really good. He has a song on there called Something with Julius that makes me just OMG...



I just think he's worth talking about it and you should keep an ear out for him.

HEY HOPPERS IT'S YO GIRL BUNNY HERE!!! Today on our hoppin hip hop corner we are talking about...

Changmo

Changmo is a part of Ambition Musik which from what I understand is a part of Illionare. I was a little confused on how Illionare and Ambition works but then again it's Dok2 so we aren't going there. But I love Changmo and most of the people in Illionare actually but ANYWAY. Changmo is newly on my list of people. Changmo is another Spotify find. His song with Beenzino is really good. I also like Maestro and his featured song with Jeebanoff called Timid was also really good as well.

I'm just getting into him so Look for him a little more on the blog :D

I just recently jumped on the bandwagon that is Dilli Jinn when she popped up on my Spotify playlist I listen too. Her song Barbie got me hooked. I thought to myself "Man I need to look up more stuff by her." And the more I looked up the more I liked her. Her song Sway is really good.  She has a real "sexual" for lack of a better word sound about her. But shes another what I like to call coffee shop style artist. Did I mention she's pretty too. Her first album Vaseline dropped recently.  And if I could afford it I'd probably buy it. Shes a real good find THANKS SPOTIFY!

Bunny's HOPPIN hip hop corner! (Epik High)

We are bacccckkkkk..... its a new year its a brand new HOPPIN corner. This month we'll talk about some of my new interest of the new year. I'm excited, you're excited so lets get into it.

I talked a little about this in the 2017 songs post, but I feel like it needs more credit. Epik High came out with a new album We've Done Something Wonderful on October 23,2017. My life hasn't been the same.

I talk about Epik High a lot in my blogs mainly because I respect all three of them so much. Their lyrics in their songs always really touch my heart and sometimes it's exactly what I need to here. Some of them are fun like No Thanxx, or it can go the opposite direction like Here Comes the Regrets. They put so much into their songs like BLEED. The whole album just touch me in my feel goods. And you can't go wrong with the feel good spots.

My favorite one is hands down Here Comes the Regrets. MITHRA EFFFFING KILLLS HIS ENGLISH RAP. It shocked me so hard. You hear Tablo rap in English all the time, but RARELY do you Mithra Jin rap in English. Ya'll HE KILLS IT... and then you got Lee Hi coming in with her rich velvet voice trying to make you cry and shiiizzzz shame on her.

I liked BLEED too. I like how it starts off kinda old school feel too it. Of course Tablo has to put his lyrical genius into it.

Bunny's Hoppin Hip Hop Corner! (Dumbfoundead)

Hey everyone I'm here again with another hip hop corner and today it's Dumbfoundead's turn.

So I've talked about Dumbfoundead before, honestly one of my favorite rappers. He's come out with a couple of new singles lately and I really wanted to take my time and share my thoughts about them.

On November 22 he dropped "Every Last Drop"




I think this is my favorite of the two he has dropped recently. It really reminds me of Kruis Wu's Juice, kinda okay so I don't know why. I kinda felt a little like it was a new side of Dumbfounded I wouldn't really know it was him if he didn't have that special sound. But it was cold though. The beat was lit the lyrics were cool it's Dumb I mean what do you expect.

The next one he dropped today (Nov. 30)  "Protect At All Cost aka P.A.A.C"




What are you doing Dumb. I wasn't really feeling this one. I feel like someone is playing a joke on him. It's just not the Dumbfounded I like to hear. It's not something I think he would come out with. The message had potential, the beat was pretty good, I just don't think he gave everything with this one. I'll listen to it though cause it's Dumbfounded, bbuuuttt Dumb you can do better.

I'm excited he's coming out with new stuff (including a movie) and I will always want to hear more even the ones I'm not a huge fan of.

Bunny's Hoppin Hip Hop Corner (HALLOWEEN EDITION)

This week on the HALLOWEEN edition of Bunny's Hoppin Hip Hop Corner we are back at you with another version of SCARY IDOL RAPPERS. This week I have another duo. I just think that you can't talk about one and not talk about the other. Some people I talk to forget that this group has talented rappers.

B.A.P 'S YONG GUK & ZELO

I have been watching B.A.P since their debut, but honestly I wasn't a huge fan of the group. I know I know shoot me now. To me though B.A.P is one of those groups that just grows on you, the more and more you listen to them the more you grow to like them. When these two get together fire. 🔥🔥🔥

I think I started liking them with "Never Give Up" 

But there is so many more reasons why you shouldn't forget about these two. Like this song for instance.



My ALL TIME favorite song with them in it though has got to be "Confession."



I mean if you want to show power you might as well show it the right way. Why not start off with opra. This song ya'll even now just gets my blood boiling. The atmosphere is just so creepy.

When you break down the two of them I think Yong Guk is my favorite. Maybe? Idk I really like Zelo's flow but I like Yong Guk's tone. WHO DO YOU CHOSE!?!?!?!

Point is, when you talk about idol rappers in the KPOP scene you have to talk about Yong Guk and Zelo. Again both of them just complete each other.

Bunny's Hoppin Hip Hop Corner (HALLOWEEN EDITION)

AYYYEEEE SO it's my favorite time of year ya'll... whey IT'S HALLOWEEN. You may see that we here at HAS are doing a Halloween theme the last two weeks of Halloween, but I decided to throw in a Hip Hop Corner and talk about some scary Idol rappers. I feel like they don't get enough credit for how good they are. It's just SCARY how talented some of these rappers are.

On this weeks is RAP MONSTER.

So we all know Rap Monster I mean who doesn't Love BTS. Crazy talent all of them have. I have always had a bias for Rap Monster from the start of my BTS trash days. Even though my sug sug wrecks me sometimes. He's the devil really. ANYWAY ... this is about rap monster. Being the leader of BTS has to be hard especially when you have SO MUCH talent in one group. He doesn't let that get to him though. He has shown he's worth something by having so many good solos.



This video ^^^ is just creepy all around. HOW DOES HE EVEN DO THAT.



Okay so this last one isn't a single, BUT I love this song like so much and it shows all of their talents.




You can't talk about Rap Mon and not talk about Sugar though. BOTH OF THEM EQUALLY ARE SCARY put them together... murder of all the hearts.

Both of these gentleman were underground rappers before being picked for BTS. Some people (B-Free) may say that they sold themselves out. I personally don't feel that way I think that both of them good for BTS and complete the group. But both of them have had some CRAZY singles outside of BTS proving that they could do it on their own without them.






I don't think Suga (Agust D) has to prove anything. Just because HATERS are Haters doesn't mean they don't have the talent. What Rap Monster lacks Suga balances it so why fix something that isn't broke. Let Suga do what he's good at and that's rap.

Who's gonna be next? SO MANY IDOLS SO FEW DAYS!!!!

Bunny's Hoppin Hip Hop Corner 10/8

HEY IT'S SATURDAY time for a BUNNY'S HOPPIN HIP HOP CORNER!!!! We've talked about a lot of stuff recently here at the corner. Today we are gonna talk about a new artist you may not have heard of. We talked about him in The first two rounds of Show Me the Money series But he was eliminated in the third round. He has a new single out.

So Los has a new single with Jay Park and G. Soul. I was originally really sad when he left Show Me the Money, But I was totally excited when I saw this video. He wanted it so badly and I felt for him. But This just goes to show, you may not win when you think it's your last shot but don't give up.

Okay so the people who read my blogs already know how much I love him and how I think he's way underrated. But there's a little news that I have for ya'll if you have lived under a rock... 

PO HAS A MINI ALBUM COMING OUT!!!!!!!!

I KNOW I WAS JUST AS EXCITED!!! My heart literally stopped. I've been waiting for the moment for for a long time ya'll and it's finally here. So he dropped his his single probably about a week or so ago I've just been so busy recently and couldn't post this till now. I'm so ready to listen to the whole album. But here's the video. 

It had a little Bruno Mars feel to me but with a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT VOICE. when I first saw it I couldn't stop myself from getting up and jammin to it.... and about 1:50 he breaks down and does a little English ... can you teach Zico a little while your at it. I know I've said this so many times. I love Zico ya'll like I really do, I jam to all his stuff every time he comes out with new stuff. I get so excited seeing him in stuff. BUT I've really wanted other people to see PO's shine and this song did it for me. I was kind of scared that he wouldn't make it but PO YOU GO ON WITH YO BAD SELF. Cause  I swear this song yall I LOVED IT. I thought it was very PO to be honest. It's kinda what I expected I hope he has slower songs.

Bunny's Hoppin Hip Hop Music

HEY EVERYONE, Welcome back to the HOPPIN HIP HOP CORNER, It's ya girl Bunny here. And today we are going to talk about Junoflo's new single.

On September 15 Junoflo released a new single Static.

I love Feel Ghood Music they have a lot of really good artist. I like this song. The old school beat really fits his type of flow. I'm excited about his new album coming out and also about how far he goes in SMTM 6 (stay tuned and read ;) )  He had one come out on the 13 as well called "Good morning" and I liked that one as well.



I liked him in SMTM5 and I was so sad when he got eliminated so I'm so happy he's back and I hope he makes it. FIGHTING JUNOFLO!!!
