Midweek Blast from the Past! (8/30/17)

Girls Generation - Gee

I can't even believe it's been 7 years since this song was released, can you? Gee was released in 2010 and was a MAJOR HIT.

Taking a look back at the original lovely Girls Generation is always a must. They're now queens who slay everyone, but back then they were so cutesy and fun! They really are all grown up now!

Plus, we always miss Jessica. ALWAYS.

30 Days of HAS Shanea: Day 12/30

Continuing with 5 things I love...

Foreigners in Kpop groups.

It's so refreshing when you see a foreigner in Kpop. They bring this whole other side to the groups that you never would have expected. They all bring something great to the table.

Then there's just the diversity and cultural difference and acceptance that really warms my heart.

My honorable mentions:

Jackson from GOT7

While Jackson is super sexy and gorgeous, he also brings this whole weird and goofiness to the group. He's quite quirky and adorable. And obviously clingy.

That is the cutest thing ever, btw.

Min from Miss A

Min was the funniest powerdancer of that Kpop era. She did well on variety shows, she was an amazing dancer, and her voice was just amazing.

Nichkhun from 2PM

For as long as I live, I will always believe that Nichkhun is one of the most interesting Kpop idols to this DAY!

This man has a ethnicity of Chinese, was born in America, is a Thai citizen, and a Kpop idol. Overachiever at the multicultural game, Nichkhun is.

And it's what makes him so unique and just amazing.

The guy speaks (that I know of) 5 languages.

These being

English

Thai

Korean

Mandarin

Japanese

Though he's only fluent in 3. Which are English, Thai, and Korean.

But can you even process this guy? I can't.

I'm over here having the hardest time learning just 1 foreign language and he's over here excelling at 5 of them. lol

Jae from DAY6

I'm really thankful for Jae. Jae has such a great personality and a great voice and is just so talented. Day6 just wouldn't be the same without him.

Last but not least...

BM from K.A.R.D

Emphasis on those body rolls.

I just love everything this man is and does. Super thankful he even exists.

As Valentine's Day is getting closer, some people have dates planned out, others don't really want to do anything, and some, call their families, because Valentines isn't just for couples or singles. It's for ALL your loved ones!

When I was younger, I obviously didn't have any boyfriends or anything like that. On Valentine's Day, my Mom and Dad would buy my siblings and I little things, like a teddy bear, or a stuffed kitty cat. Along with the stuffed they would buy Valentine's Day candy. If it was a school day, we would come home to those little sweet gifts from our parents.

Every year, my parents did that for us. Showing us love like nobody else had, or will ever show us! After some years of that happening, I just took it for granted and expect it from them. It was foolish of me. My family was never rich money wise, but we lived comfortably.

Now as I look back to those years, it means a lot that they thought of us each each on Valentine's Day even when they had day to day struggles. Make sure, that this week you call your parents and let them know that you love them. If you no longer have your parents in this life, send a prayer for them, and call those closest to you that took you under their wing when they didn't have to do that!

This song, number 11 Dear Mom by Girls Generation, always makes me cry every time I listen to it. There were too many times that I took my Mom for granted and never thanked her for anything. Now that I'm older, I try to thank my Mom and my Dad for everything they did for me.

Although this song is just for Mom, there are people out there who didn't have a Mom in their life, and their Dad had to play both roles, make sure to listen to it and keep the promises you made to your parents. Without our parents we wouldn't be where we are in life now!

Taeyeon and Baekhyun

*Sigh...*

With all the latest buzz on Taeyeon and Baekhyun dating, I can't even think straight.. Most people know I am Baekhyun biased.. Was I a little sad he's dating? I can't say I wasn't. The day it was released, for about an hour I walked around the house like a zombie hungry for bacon because I just kept saying "Bacooooooon" over and over again. Was I depressed? No. I wasn't. Just a little bummed at first. So I understand if people are sad, but let me say a few things... Netizens are MONSTERS. Most of them anyways... You call yourself fans, but I really am realizing you aren't.. Because chances are, you are ruining your "oppa"s career.. If his career downspirals, it isn't because he is dating, its because everyone is going absolutely psycho over this. And the worst part? You want it to be not true so bad, you've become spytizens. Maybe them dating is to take the attention off of Kris's lawsuit. But why do you care?.. When something like this happens, they need comfort and strength whole world criticizing them.. Its so bad to the point where you are calling Baekhyun a traitor on a live tv show, and Taeyeon pathetic.. To where she is in tears and apologizing to all of her fans and followers. If they are really together, they deserve to be happy. I'm sure most of you love someone or at least have before.. Have you ever had to apologize for liking someone? Chances are no, unless you liked a married peraon. Just because they are famous, doesnt mean they are not human. And alot of people are not realizing this. They have every right to laugh, cry, love, and enjoy life just like the rest of us. To constantly spy on them and say harsh words, is not a fan, but an animal or monster. If Baekhyun gets pushed to the limit like Hon from MR.MR. did and leaves EXO, what are you going to do then? Cry? Why? Do you have that right? It would be your faults.

Just accept them together even if it is a fake relationship. Show them that, as their fans, you love them and support them no matter what. (Even if you don't really). They need it right now, lovelies...

Not even afraid to say I think this is the sexiest they've ever been. Weird, right? Now... I have alot to say about this music video. But before I go into this...

It really is a great song and a very great video. Getting into my break down of the MV...

1) This is like a completely different SNSD! When you first start watching the music video you expect something cute and sweet like all their other videos. Oh gosh are you wrong. The song is completely different.

2)Their fashions are something I'd expect on 2NE1.

3)The dance. OMG the dance!! I am in love with the dance. I am attempting to learn this dance. And lemme tell you it's harder than it looks.

4)Another thing about the dance.. If you're one of those people who love to watch dance covers.. I have 3 amazing videos. Starting with my favorite...

Even if you aren't into watching dance covers... Everyone should watch this one. These guys do it so great and don't make it look so girly. Bonus that they're adorable!!! Special announcement. If any guy was to be man enough to learn this dance and come dance it for me and actually do it energetically and not all funny-like.. I'd seriously be putty in your hands. Bonus if you're Asian!!

The only downside to them is they are honestly WAYY to skinny.

6) Yoona is and always will be my favorite. In my honest opinion she is probably the prettiest one out of all of them.

She's one of the best dancers in SNSD and also imo the prettiest one.

7) Is it just me or did they make Seohyun look absolutely horrible in this music video? Like I know she isn't the best looking one in there.. But they just did her wrong in this mv..

I don't know why.. But she just doesn't look right...

6)Yuri looks great!!!!

7) I never really think Hyoyeon looks gorgeous, but in this video she does.

8) Also about Hyoyeon.. She looks quite happy dancing to this song. I guess that's cuz this is more her style of dance.

She smiles like throughout the whole video.
9) I FORGOT! About Yoona.. Her rap was the cutest thing. I loved her rap.
10) The whole orange hair thing was really weird. Very very weird. Only very few of them pulled it off.
11) Sunny keeps dying her hair throughout the video. She looked better with the pink.
